Andi Eigenmann and husband Philmar Alipayo are providing updates on the situation to their followers as Odette bears on the island.

Andi Eigenmann moved to Siargao in 2017 and has never looked back since, building a life there with partner Philmar Alipayo and raising her children. Now that the island was hit by typhoon Odette, the celebrity scion provides updates.

According to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA), the typhoon made landfall over Siargao island around 5:00 p.m. today, December 16.

In her Instagram Stories, Andi revealed several hours ago that the mobile phone signal on the island is now gone, leaving them without any way to contact people on the island. She also says the waves are already reaching inland establishments despite it being low tide and the storm not having arrived at the island at the time of posting.

Her husband corroborated the account on his own account's Instagram story, posting a video of waves crashing inland and the one taking the video running away from it. Philmar also added photos of fallen trees.
